Here you can find a general call for papers for the conference which is organized by the IISH, Amsterdam.

Call for Participation

Furthermore Peter Tammes is aiming at bringing together a panel on Jewish history and the question of assimiliation/integration/acculturation in the light of social history and migration studies. This his short call for participation, please contact him or me if you are interested in participating:

For the Ethnicity and Migration network at the European Social Science History Conference in Ghent, 2010 I would like to organize a session around the topic of the assimilation of Jews. In my own paper the subject will be the assimilation of pre-war Jews in Amsterdam by looking at individual life courses providing information on their religion, household, migration, occupational, marital and family history.

If there is anyone who is keen on presenting a paper on assimilation of Jews or will act as Chairman, please contact me and hopefully we can put a session together.

I look forward to hearing from you. Best wishes,

Peter Tammes
